Three Blind Mice – A Fun Halloween Short Story Caper

Three Blind Mice - A Halloween Short Story Caper.

Halloween is a bundle of fun, candy, and pranks. Though most kids are caught up in the costumes and candy, there’s always those few who take the “trick” part of “trick-or-treat” seriously. In honor of Halloween, I’ve written a fun Halloween short story for you, titled “Three Blind Mice.”

I have to say, I’ve had a blast writing this. Roan, Jackson (Jax), and Lee embark on a campaign to scare the farmer’s wife who lives in the old carpenter Gothic home several blocks away. Stories abound in their 1960’s neighborhood about Mrs. Brown and her pitchfork toting husband. This odd couple resembles the man and woman in Grant Wood’s 1930 painting, American Gothic.

Convinced the farmer’s wife is afraid of mice, the three boys set out to play on that fear with a trick-or-treat culmination none of them will forget.
